Why You Should Use Daily Visualization

Unless you’ve studied about mental performance it probably never occurred to you – Why you should use daily creative visualization?

Have you ever wondered what makes a person successful?

Part of what makes a person successful is down to how they utilize consciously or unconsciously visualization.

Creative visualization is a mental technique that uses the imagination to make dreams or goals come true.

Used by top people in all industries from top athletes.

Creative Visualization

For instance, sports players such as Tiger Woods, actors such as Jim Carrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Therefore creative visualization is basically imagining your desired outcome.

You visualize yourself doing the thing you want to do, whether being better at sport or being more successful financially.

Mental Rehearsal

Athletes know this as mental rehearsal and have been doing this since this 1960s when this was discovered by a Russian scientist.

Some of the benefits of creative visualization are:

1) Helps you to learn a new skill in sports or athletic more quickly
2) Strengthens your belief, positivity and confidence in yourself
3) Helps with overcoming negative beliefs
4) Eliminates stress from the body improving the overall immunity

An example of creative visualization:

if you are a golf player and wanted to play better golf.  You could imagine yourself hitting the golf ball just right and making that perfect shot.

When doing this you would actually imagine yourself as if you were actually holding the golf club.  You would feel the swing of the club, how it feels hitting the ball, while at the same time feeling the joy of that perfect hit.

This you would do continuously every day. The subconscious can’t tell what’s real and what isn’t.

And it’s been found through various research that rehearsing this way in the mind improves your performance considerably.

The best times to do this is the first thing after you get up, and just before you go to bed and any time after relaxation and meditation.

As during these times, your brain waves start to slow down.

This is what’s known as the Alpha state (dream state).

And anything you imagine or think about more easily passes over to the subconscious mind.

Creative Visualization and Affirmations

When visualization is combined with affirmations it becomes a pretty powerful tool for change.

An affirmation is a statement that evokes not only a picture but the experience of already having what you want.

Here’s an example of an affirmation:

I am happily earning $100,000 a year and working just 3 days a week owning my own business.

While at the same time visualizing yourself being paid by your customers.

You would see the money go into your bank account, feel the joy and seeing the kind of life this would give you.

This you would do with as much emotion and sensory involvement as you could.

Repeating an affirmation at least several times a day helps keep you focused on your goal, keeping you motivated, and rewires your brain for success.

Visualization and affirmations help you change your beliefs, assumptions and opinions about YOU!

Allowing you to harness the massive neural network within your head (your brain) giving a single purposeful direction.

Visualization activates the creative powers of the subconscious, motivating it to work harder at creating solutions.

When you continuously repeat the same thoughts, this makes it more easily for the subconscious to acceps it and changes your mindset accordingly, along with your habits and actions.

By simply changing your thoughts and mental images, your change what happens to you.

It doesn’t really matter if you believe this is achieved through a metaphysical process such as the Law of Attraction or through science using RAS.

What is RAS?

Reticular Activating System is a bundle of nerves at the brain stem that filters out unnecessary information.

Allowing the important stuff to get through, for example when you go to buy a new car, then suddenly you start to see that exact model and colour of car everywhere you go.

RAS takes what you focus on and creates a filter for it.

Therefore, your mind then starts sifting through the data that comes in through your senses and then presents only the pieces that are important to you.

All done below your consciousness.

As you can see creative visualization used with affirmations is a great tool to help you focus and keep you focused on achieving your goals no matter what they are.
